NEPAFE Hosting Community Environmental & Sustainability Workshop in Newcastle, Supported by NCIG

NEPAFE is preparing to host a practical and community‑focused Community Environmental & Sustainability Workshop in Newcastle, bringing residents together to learn simple, effective ways to care for the environment. The event will take place on Saturday, 4 July 2026, at Hunter Multicultural Communities, Waratah, and will feature hands‑on demonstrations, expert guidance, and opportunities for community connection.

A Practical Program for Everyday Sustainability

The workshop is designed to help participants build confidence in small but meaningful environmental actions. Key activities include:

  • Environmental Talks — clear, beginner‑friendly discussions on climate action and sustainable living.
  • Urban Gardening Demonstrations — practical tips for growing vegetables, herbs, and native plants at home.
  • Composting & Worm Farm Sessions — step‑by‑step guidance on turning household food scraps into healthy compost.
  • Local Gardener Insights — personalised advice from experienced gardeners.
